Managers... Are They Hurting Your Career?

~A good manager will not  build your ego up to make you think your bigger then you are. They are honest, yet dilligently working to get you where you need to be.
~Some manager's egos will hurt you when someone is trying to book you. For example, when you're trying to get on an event, always stay humble because that promoter or event could be bigger then your brand..(so that "high almighty" act won't work)
~Pick a manager that has a good background and good connections.
~Handle your own  business until you start getting more known or a fanbase in the industry
~Don't use your spouse as a manager because they are always bias. Most major exec's won't give the proper respect to a person that is your manager with no background (but if you spouse is a manager with a respectable name that different)
~Look up the word Music Manager/Talent Manager! READ the definition of what a manager does and suppose to do
~If you can't ever reach your manager, you 're not a client on his high list.
~Make sure your manager is relevant and up to date on events, the industry, radio contacts  and connections
~If you're unknown and waiting for your manager to submit for an event, you better jump on it before the opportunity goes out the door!!
~Remember a good manager usually works as hard as their clients.
